Mrs Amaka Catherine Ugwueze, the wife of late Enugu State lawmaker, Honourable Chijioke Leonard Ugwueze who represented Isi-Uzo Constituency has emerged as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the ‘bye-election’ holding on October 31st, 2020.

Amaka Ugwueze is in poll position to replace her late husband as the newest lawmaker representing Isi-Uzo Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, under the PDP.

Her late husband

Her latest feat is coming some months after her husband, Chijioke Ugwueze died of heart failure on the 19th day of June, 2020, to be precise.

It will be recalled that some media houses had initially reported that the late 49-year-old lawmaker died of COVID-19, a claim the deceased immediate younger brother, Mr Ejike Ugwueze refuted as been fake news.

However, as Mrs Amaka Ugwueze aim to continue where her husband left off, we wish her all the best in her endeavours.

Below is a picture of her campaign poster with her husband behind her.
