US suspends Hushpuppi’s trial till 2021

The trial of Alleged internet fraudster, Ramoni Abbas, better known as Hushpuppi, has been moved to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is contained in the chambers orders of Judge Otis Wright. His trial will now resume by 9:00 a.m. on May 4, 2021.

Recall that last month, new evidence was submitted against the Dubai based Instagram celebrity.

The 37-year-old is facing four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.

He was arrested months ago in Dubai alongside his friend Mr Woodberry and others, and they were extradited to US for prosecution.
