Diallo has already starred for Man United’s youth side.
Wood believes it’s too early for the winger to make his first-team debut.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United’s Under-23s coach Neil Wood said: “Amad Diallo is training with the first team and doing well and he’s still new to England and the style of football in England.
“So it’s going to take time and like all young players you have to be patient with them. He’s gaining more confidence as the days go on. You see he has ability and he’s linking up well.”
Diallo already has 3 goals and 3 assists to his name from just two games for the Under-23s as the winger continues to adapt to life in England.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer included the 18-year-old in the travelling squad against West Ham on Tuesday but the Norwegian is also cautious about rushing the youngster.
