‘There is always a chance’: Marcus Rashford on Man United’s Premier League title prospects

The forward admits that they are far from the finished article.

Right now, the team’s main objective is to focus on their progress.

If everything works well, UNited should be able to win big in the coming years.

“There is still a chance. There is always a chance,” Marcus Rashford told Sky Sports when asked whether the Premier League trophy could return to Old Trafford this season.

“But we just have to focus on ourselves and focus on taking steps forward as a team. We are far from the finished article. The team that you see this season should hopefully improve next season.

“We are still on the journey of becoming the best team that we can be. If we do that, then we have definitely got a chance of winning big trophies.”

Rashford has not lifted a trophy with Man United since the 2016-17 season, so his hunger for trophies is understandable. It will be hard for them to win the league this season, though.

After Saturday’s games, Man United are 8 points behind Man City, with both sides having played 23 fixtures. Leicester are ahead of the Red Devils, too, but United will leapfrog them if they beat West Brom on Sunday.
