The Telegraph: Cavani focused on playing for United next season, unwilling to talk to other clubs over potential move

However, the club holds the key to deciding whether the Uruguayan stays for another season or not.

Edinson Cavani is in the final four months of his Man United contract but is not talking to other clubs over a potential move, as per the Telegraph.

Now that he is technically into the last few months of his contract, El Matador is allowed to speak to other clubs for joining them when his deal expires.

However, it’s said that the Uruguayan is more focused on playing at United next season and wants to stay at Old Trafford for now.

But the Red Devils hold the right to decide whether they want to trigger a one-year extension to El Matador’s contract or not.

United are reportedly yet to decide whether to extend Cavani’s deal or not, but seeing how he’s performed over the months, there really shouldn’t be much doubt over keeping him for another season at Old Trafford.
