Staff Who Allegedly Stole ₦20 million From Company Funds To Play Sports Betting Arrested By EFCC

Emmanuel Chigoozie Eze, Head of Sales for Procter and Gamble has been arrested by the EFCC for allegedly embezzling company funds to play sports betting.

The 35-year-old Man was accused by the complainant of using his position in the company to supply goods worth over 20 million naira to customers and converted same for personal use and used fraudulent means to collect monies from various customers using his personal account rather than the company’s account.

According to a report, Chigozie Emmanuel Eze is addicted to sports betting and has spent over N4million on placing bets on a daily basis, however, has nothing to show for it.

He was arrested by operatives of the Uyo Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and has been charged to court awaiting trial.
