‘Lindelof shouldn’t be an option at all’: United fans select ultimate XI for Newcastle clash

The vast majority of the supporters have asked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to change his regular defensive partnership.

On Sunday, Man United will face Newcastle United as they seek to improve their current Premier League record of 1 win in 5 games.

Paul Pogba remains sidelined while Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek and Edinson Cavani will be assessed before the game.

Yesterday, we gave our users 2 lineup options to choose from and here’s what the majority picked.

Zainab Doumbouya: “It got to be option 1 but with Eric Bailly playing alongside Maguire. It will be suicidal if Ole failed to start Bailly alongside Maguire.

Always start Bailly ahead of Lindelof when he is fit.”David Jackson: “Option 1 but with Bailly in for Lindelof.

Hopefully, James and Diallo both get a good runout more than just 10 minutes give them at least half an hour, they will skin Newcastle with there pace on the flanks.”Dean Baxter: “I would love to see Bailly start.

We’ve seen too many times this season that Maguire and Lindelof aren’t a great partnership. Good individuals but not a great partnership.”Lexzy Scott: “I’ll go for option 1, but they’ve got Callum Wilson who is very powerful and physical with and without the ball so Lindelof shouldn’t be an option at all.”

Well, that was pretty resounding, so we’ve made a little tweak to one of the line-ups we proposed:

Users’ starting XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, Fred, McTominay, Bruno, Greenwood, Rashford, Cavani.
