“I tried to leave last year but they blocked everything at the last second”- Gareth Bale

Having seen his playing time limited to 20 appearances last season, the one time galactico has voiced out his frustration and treatment at Real Madrid, stating that the club refused his exit.

Away with the Wales national team, he had an interview in which he expressed out his frustration and how he almost left the club last season but the club blocked the move.

“I tried to leave last yar but they blocked everything at the last second. It was a project i was excited for but I didnt materialize. There have been instances where we have tried to go but the club won’t allow it or they have done something. It’s down to the club” he said.

He further went to express his desire to keep playing saying “I want to play football. I am still motivated to play football, so I guess it’s on the club. They are in control of Everything. I have a contract, all I can do is carry on. What I am doing and hopefully something will come up”.

It’s going to be difficult leaving the club in which he won many trophies. But one can’t help but support his desire to keep playing. He’s 31 and less playing time could cost him his career. A move elsewhere would be a welcome development for the Wales star.
