Doctors calls of strike

5days ago, the National Association of Resident Doctors(NARD) underwent a strike which, fast forwarding to 5days later, the strike was called off at exactly 8am today being Friday.

The doctors were protesting the non implementation of life insurance for those treating Covid19, non funding of their residency programme, hazard allowance and unpaid arrears. In June, the doctors had downed tools for a week because of their unattended demands but the Government responded by saying the doctors had no right to down tools as part of their demands had been met by the government.

NARD has appealed to the government to keep their part of the deal as they ponder on resolutions by 2weeks time.
